Speaker Profiles: Jack Rozel; Joshua Villines

Done right, Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management brings together diverse professionals into teams focused on shared goals.  These teams often include different disciplines and professions, such as behavioral health and medicine, law and jurisprudence, law enforcement, education, human resources, and other fields – each with their own ethical, practice, and legal standards.

While this diversity can create tremendous strengths and opportunities it can also create potential conflicts.  The presenters will discuss principles and theory relevant to professionalism and professional ethics in cross-disciplinary work.  This presentation will then explore the opportunities and risks faced by BTAM teams and explore effective and ineffective problem-solving methods.  The presentation will close with reflections on best practices for building and sustaining successful multidisciplinary partnerships.
