Elmarie Myburgh served in the South African Police Service for 32 years, where she was actively involved in the investigation and/or court cases of serial murderers and serial rapists. Besides these serial violent crimes, she also has experience in threat assessment cases including stalking, domestic violence, terrorism and anonymous threats. After her career in SAPS ended, she has been working as a threat assessment consultant. She often delivers papers at conferences, and has been involved in workshops and the training of investigators and prosecutors in the investigation and prosecution of serious and violent crimes.
